China-Originated Innovation
CMC-China 2026, SynBio floor, medical cosmetics: delivery is the registration step, microsphere essence on 4 Sep, Class II device promised for Q4
The same Hall C room listed functional skincare on 4 Sep and medical-device innovation on 5 Sep, and one supplier walked a cosmetic microsphere essence to a promised Class II device inside a single deck. For pharma-grade PN and collagen sellers, delivery format is where Chinese suppliers cross into device registration.
Two claim sets, one room code

SUZHOU, 4–5 Sep 2026. You did not need the 5 Sep C103 session to see the delivery fight. The hanging board already wrote it.
4 Sep: SynBio China functional skincare. 5 Sep, same room code: cosmetic enhancement and pharmaceutical / medical-device innovation, including nanocrystal transdermal.
It is the business model. Same hall, two claim sets.
Meixinqiu: from cosmetic essence to Class II device in one deck
The Meixinqiu talk on 4 Sep ran the sequence in one sitting. First slide: liquid-nitrogen (LN2) microspheres as a way out of a synbio-active price war (ergothioneine, ectoine, nano-encapsulation). Cosmetic essence. The group standard for that format excludes drugs and devices. Later slide: Yestar, polydeoxyribonucleotide (PDRN), salmon freeze-dried microspheres, vials in a clinic-style tray. The final slide shown: Q4 2026, “medical beauty’s first” LN2 freeze-dried microsphere Class II device. Same speaker. Same format. Different box.
That is the tell. Delivery is a registration step.
Yestar, PDRN and HTL’s raw-material lane
Yestar is a clinic chain with a skincare arm. Its PDRN work with Ruijiming is sold as “medical-同源” serum. Yestar also puts Class II dressings and at least one Class III hyaluronic acid (HA) on the clinic side. PDRN / polynucleotide (PN) is exactly HTL’s raw-material lane, including a China device master file for polynucleotide. If you sell pharma-grade PN, Hall C is showing your ingredient in a clinic SKU and a promised Class II freeze-dried bead.
Nanocrystal: the inspectors already wrote the ending
Nanocrystal is the other delivery stamp on the 5 Sep board. In China, “纳米微晶” that opens the stratum corneum is already treated as medical aesthetics (microneedle). Hygiene cases have fined life-beauty shops for running it. The NIFDC nano-device guidance is blunt: intact-skin contact can be Class II; anything that hits tissue, mucosa, or wound is Class III. Inspectors already wrote the ending.
LivingPHOENIX tries the harder door: terminal sterilisation
LivingPHOENIX’s collagen deck tried the harder door: terminal moist-heat sterilization, 121°C / 15 minutes, circular dichroism (CD) and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) claimed to keep the triple helix. USP <1229> citations across the footer. For HTL, Galderma, AbbVie, Merz, that is the only early slide in the collagen pack that sounds like a device CMC conversation. The later slides make the ask explicit: eight Class II dressings claimed for Q4; a Class III implant story covering skin, orthopedics and ophthalmology; a no-crosslinker self-assembling gel; BD into device companies and ODM into a beauty logo wall (L’Oréal, Shiseido, Bloomage, Giant, Proya). Treat the logos as a shopping list. Pharmacopeial Forum 52(2) in March 2026 reshuffles USP sterilization chapters.
